Ryan is a financial regulation reporter for The Wall Street Journal in Washington, writing about the policies and personalities involved in federal oversight offinance. He previously covered energy and environmental issues for the Journal. Before that he wrote for Newsweek and The Times of Trenton – the same newspaper he delivered growing up in central New Jersey. He holds a journalism masters degree from Columbia University and a bachelors degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania.
