Albert Forkner

Wyoming Division of Banking

Albert Forkner is Wyoming’s Banking Commissioner, a role he has served for the past six years. Forkner has been with the Wyoming Division of Banking for over 19 years. He also served as the assistant banking commissioner and chief bank examiner. He is a strong believer in the role our nation’s community banks play in state and local economic development. His diverse work history, featuring both state and federal bank supervision, and tenure with a community bank and a national bank, has provided him with a breadth of knowledge about the financial services industry as a whole.

Forkner is a 1995 graduate of the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and a minor in finance. He also is a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute and the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.

The Wyoming Division of Banking is responsible for the supervision and regulation of state-chartered banks, trust companies and licensed non-depository financial entities operating in this state.
